Indian Summer

Saturday 1st September 2012

What an amazing start to September! Let's hope this is here to stay!! Glorious clear blue skies and warm sunshine. Is it the beginnings of an Indian Summer?

I couldn't miss going out for a walk again this afternoon betweens shifts.
I took the coastal path today past Porthmellon, and up around the golf course to Bants Carn Ancient Village. From here I went down to Pendrethen and along to Bar Point before heading round to the Innisidgen Burial Chambers. Heading around to Watermill direction from here I spotted a path I'd not noticed before so ventured along it. It was kind of a dead end, and I ended up having to cut through the field at Hellvear! Whoops!! Whereas on American style horror movies a wrong turn finds yourself being hunted by inbred savages with cannibalistic instincts, I didn't see a soul and hotfooted my way through the chopped wood left out to season! I ended up back on track having cut out quite a distance from my walk.
From here I headed to Holy Vale and back to town via Sunnyside.
